MARTYN ANDREWS

Throughout Martyn’s childhood, he performed in many regional plays, musicals and festivals.

Small TV roles followed in Mersey TV’s Brookside, Granada ’s Reckless and Yorkshire TV’S Emmerdale.

Martyn was also a member of the National Youth Music Theatre where he performed in The Threepenny Opera at the Lyric Hammersmith in the West End of London and worked on the NYMT's Warchild.

During Martyn's time at his drama school Mountview, his favourite productions included; Kiss of the Spiderwoman directed by Ian Good, Sweet Charity directed by Matt Ryan, Working directed by Nicholas Tudor, Accrington Pals directed by Neil Caple and Hamlet directed by Will Kerley.

In his final year at drama school, Martyn was offered the chance to be in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit musical STARLIGHT EXPRESS.  Cast as a swing and covering all the lead roles, one year later he eventually took over the lead role of Electra.

Another Lloyd Webber musical was to follow in the form of Bill Kenwright's new production of  WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND. He originated and created the role of the Preacher for a year, singing "The vaults of Heaven" around the UK until 2002.  See www.reallyuseful.com for more details.

Martyn's next stage performance was in the title role of Rock in Theatre Royal Lincoln's ROCK HARD the musical with Alvin Stardust.

As well as numberous concerts, COPACABANA the musical was Martyn's last UK tour in which he played the comedy role of Mr Brill, covering the two lead roles of Rico and Tony.

Martyn may be busy with his television presenting contracts, but he certainly has his eyes set on returning to the stage in the future. Unable to tread those boards for a while now -  he is eager as ever to get back in front of that live audience!  He also has aspirations to start up his own theatre company – so just watch this space for more details.

ALEXANDER EVANS

Alexander was born and raised in London. He studied music at
Southampton University and was a former member of the National Youth
Music Theatre of Great Britain, performing in productions of OLIVER!

Opera credits include; Don Ottavio in DON GIOVANNI.  Don Basilio / Don
Curzio in THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO at the Zeist Festival, Holland. 
Lenski in EUGENE ONEGIN.  Vasek in THE BARTERED BRIDE for New Youth
Opera.  He has also performed roles in DON CARLOS, THE MAGIC FLUTE and
THE BARBER OF SEVILLE for Pavilion Opera.

Alexander was engaged as a principal male vocalist on the QUEEN MARY 2
for its maiden and inaugural voyages. This took him across three
continents with gala performances in New York, Ft Lauderdale, and the
naming ceremony in Southampton.

He has toured the UK with SPIRIT OF THE DANCE singing popular classics,
and seasons at europes largest Christmas show, the THURSFORD CHRISTMAS
SPECTACULAR.

Alex has just returned from the Zeist Festival in Holland, where he performed the
roles of Turiddu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA, and The Impressario, in
Mozarts THE IMPRESSARIO. He has also recorded the sound track and
briefly appeared in a new feature film, The Oxford Murders, starring
Elijah Wood and John Hurt, due to be released later this year.

Alexander performed at The Watermill Theatre last year in a production of 'Honk'

Alexander is continuing to perform for Opera on the Run, who provide high quality theatrical performances for corporate events. .

Alexander will also be appearing in The Watermill's summer production of Sunset Boulevard by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Christopher Hampton. Performances run from 9th July to 30th August. Visit the Watermill website for booking information.


 

                                    


MARIA MCCAUL

Maria McCaul a talented Irish Actress, Singer and Voice Artist began her Stage Career at the age of sixteen when she first won Best Actress in the Dominican College Drama Festival with her Drama Teacher Rosaleen Corrigan who encouraged her to audition for the National Youth Theatre. She gained a place at the National Youth Theatre under the direction of Edward Wilson where she completed a summer course and appeared in Coriolanus in the West End. In her teens she won the all Ireland Irish Dancing Championships with Marlene Dunlop.  She was Leader of the North East Ulster Schools Symphony Orchestra at eleven and also a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. She has worked with the Ulster Orchestra on String Training Programmes and the CBSO.
 
As a First Study Violinist she  entered the Birmingham Conservatoire to read Music and studied with James Coles Leader of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Pamela Cooke Operatic Vocal Coach. She has worked with Sir Simon Rattle, Albert Rosin,Yan Pascal Tortelier , En Shao, Vernon Handley and various other visiting Conducters throughout her training.
 
Maria was offered a place to study on the Postgraduate Acting and Musical Theatre Diploma Course at Mountview Theatre School under the direction of Paul Sabey and was awarded scholarships from Sir Anthony Hopkins and Dame Judy Dench Trust Fund. Since then Maria has appeared in Grease, My Fair Lady, and her recent stage credit, Into the Woods in Seattle!
 
Maria  has also trained as a Voice Artist with Steve Hudson learning the PSR Method and recorded numerous voice over commercials and promotional videos for Educational purposes, She is a regular voice artist for Smooth FM, Real Radio  and Downtown Radio, Highlander Radio promoting the Irish Tourist Board.  Her Credits include, Boltblue. Belfast Telegraph, Irish News, Irish Tourist Board, and Educational Videos.  
 
Maria is also an accomplished Violinist and Singer and has given numerous recitals at Weddings and as a Session Vocalist covering vocals and string accompaniments for other established bands and Musicans. Recent work includes Violinist with Morgansterns, with Take That at O2 and session work with Madness, and The Corrs 2008.




HELEN RAW

Helen Raw is a versatile and experienced actress and singer. She has played various lead and character roles to critical acclaim in musical theatre productions across Scotland and has appeared in many well-known television programmes, films and commercials.

She has a wide variety of other experience including 2˝ years as an Entertainer & Singer with Celebrity Cruises (where she won the Circle of Excellence Award for Entertainment), a Murder Mystery Character Actor, a founder of ‘Act One’ Children's Theatre and a Children’s Drama Teacher.
