What follows is the uproarious tale of a pampered starlet determined to give up show business to get married and her ruthless producer intent on sabotaging the nuptials. Add to this a Latin lover, a debonair groom, an English butler, a pair of gangsters disguised as pastry chefs and a very tipsy chaperone, and all manner of mix-ups and mayhem are set to ensue.

If you’ve ever sat in a darkened theatre and thought, “Dear Lord in heaven, please let it be good", this is the show for you.  It will be great !

KISMET

West End favourite Michael Ball will perform the role of Hajj/Poet in the new production of Robert Wright & George Forrest’s Kismet- this will be the first West End production for nearly 30 years. Kismet first premiered in 1953, when it was a huge hit on Broadway before becoming a bigger hit in the West End.

Michael Ball is the UK's leading musical performer and has won much acclaim for his numerous roles in the West End and on Broadway, as well as TV and music recordings

Wright & Forrest’s Kismet is an eclectic choice, the symphonic score incorporates a string of great numbers, a major dance element and requires a blend of performance styles from musicals and opera to carry off its stratospheric vocal demands. This makes Kismet ideally suited to an opera ensemble and to a stage such as that of the London Coliseum, the premier venue for big American musicals in the 1940s and 1950s.

Kismet is showing from 25th June to the 14th July 2007

Showing at The Coliseum, St Martin's Lane
